Unfortunately there are a lot of smartphones that Samsung won’t update to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, so you will have to use a custom ROM is order to do so. Today we will present you the best custom ROMs for the Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Ace 2, and Galaxy S Plus.

We’ve picked these smartphones because there are stable Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROMs available for them and we’ve tested them all so you don’t have to spend your time doing it.
If you’re looking to update your Galaxy S to Android 4.4.2, then we have a lot of ROMs you could use. As we’ve told you already, they’re all tested and saf

Samsung Galaxy S2 has even more ROMs available and they range from CyanogenMod 11 (CM11), to AOSB, Resurrection Remux, Gummy, or SuperNexus. You can find them all here.
Galaxy Note is yet another flagship device that won’t receive an official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update even though it has very powerful hardware. You can find a lot of great ROMs for it here.

Samsung Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Ace 2 are low to mid-end smartphones, but Android 4.4.2 KitKat can run very well on them and we’ve had a really good experience during our tests. Head over to our update page for the Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Ace 2.
For the Samsung Galaxy S Plus we have only two Android 4.4.2 ROMs available, the DarkCM and Ehndroix V.
